Deb started the business called Top Notch in 1985 (its 25th anniversary was december 2010, the Golden Star, local newspaper, wrote an article about it). It was smaller, in another location, selling only men's wear at the time. In 1992, Brent the snowboarder wanted to hold a little snowboard shop inside and do repair & service (gauges). Deb and Brent moved then to a bigger location to make room for Brent's board shop and added women's wear to complete the business. This wasn't roomy enough though. In 1996, they move to the current location. It was actually two locations. They spent and worked hard to remove the separating wall, renovate and make a brand new and lofty place. So well stocked now, it doesn't appear so lofty. Brent and Deb get help from daughter Tawni on occasion.
